The tooth

Seriously, this little man is so funny. He has a mouth full of teeth and more coming in by the day. I pulled out the camera, asked him to smile and this is what I got. Quite the character these days...

More fun in the sun

Papa was quite the motor boat. Every morning Weston came out of his room and asked 'Can I go get Meme and Papa now please?!' He loved his play time.
Being together is such a special treat. We are so thankful and blessed to enjoy quality time together, thanks so much Meme and Papa!!!

Palm Springs!

We arrived to 80 degrees, Meme, Papa, and... a new bicycle! What a way to start off our vacation.
The boys were like fish in water after the first day of getting used to the pool. Merrick almost fell asleep a few times while we pulled him around in the warm water.
Weston was so close to swimming. After perfecting the art of holding his breath, putting his face under water, and doing crazy jumps off the side of the pool, he could doggy paddle quickly all by himself!

Have we talked about how dramatic he is?

Diving for the ball at full speed in the backyard, barefoot. Very typical lately, at least he has clothes on contrary to his normal nakedness.

A+ patient

Weston amazed me. He was so good at the dentist I almost couldn't stop giggling. He was extremely compliant and very sweet. He even let them put in fluoride trays!
He continued on his obedient streak and earned a popsicle. He even decided to share it with Merrick...
Who obviously loved it and kept coming back for more. This summer is going to be so much fun, I can already tell. These boys seem to love any ball, sport, activity, and everything outside. Full of energy and always ready to go.

Easter at the beach

What a wonderful gift Easter is! The weather actually cleared up for a few hours which was awesome. The boys had the annual egg hunt outside and even ran around on the beach. They were so excited.
Merrick is close behind lately, anything Weston is doing he wants to do it badly, and he gets there very quickly. Spencer and Weston had a great chat about why they fight like brothers... They seem to get soooo excited they can't help themselves. Oh well, it doesn't seem to bother them.
This is where we grew up spending summers and holidays, "the cabin" as we called it. It is so beautiful surrounded by the mountains and trees. I actually can't believe I just typed that I loved trees... they typically make me feel super claustrophobic, especially combined with all the hippies in Portland...
But my family sure loves them (trees mostly), and I'm learning that's what counts the most. We had an amazing visit with so many special people, thanks for hosting us everybody!

Gubby and Gramps

After getting out our energy at the farm, Weston reloaded playing catch with Gramps and Gubby. We all loved our stay, yummy salmon dinner, pie, and Gubby's fudge topping! We just loved our family time and can't wait for more.

Easter weekend

Our weekend started off at Grammy's house, lounging in pajamas, decorating Easter eggs and relaxing.
Then off to "Bob Dow's" farm to explore a boys haven, and answer Weston's never ending request to ride the 4-wheeler. Bob and Patricia are wonderful hosts letting the boys play, hiding Easter eggs and always making us feel at home.
Grandma Joyce, Grandpa George, and tons of our other favorite people came out to enjoy the fresh air, fly kites (from fishing poles), and help Weston look for coyotes down by the slough...

Getting ready for Easter

Merrick is all over Weston's things these days. Fortunately, West could not be a better big brother, he's amazing with Merrick. They love playing with his Playmobil toys together. Getting ready for our big visit to Skagit Valley....grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends galore.
