A special day with Mommy

One of my very talented friends has returned to her passion for photography. Along with being a wonderful mother of two very handsome boys, Molly is so great at catching the special candid moments. Thanks Molly! Here are some more of her beautiful photos: http://mollyjohnsonphotography.squarespace.com/

Here eggy, eggy...

Grandpa thought he tricked us, but Spencer and Weston found every egg in a flash. Especially once they tasted the yummy treats inside!

The Farm

At the top of the list with horses, Weston loves bikes... any type will do. Grandpa has been taking Weston and Spencer out to the farm. What heaven for boys! Motorcycles in the net shed, tractors, 4-wheelers, owls in the barn, and tons of boy stuff.
Back at Grandma Joyce's and Grandpa's the artist does a little painting in the nude and practices his stunts onto the dog bed :)

Lucky Boy and happy Momma!

We had a visit from Grammy and Grandpa Bob over the weekend! Figuring out how kids come up with the things they say still baffles me. For example, Weston made us all laugh when he called out "Grandpa Bob?... Grandpa?... Bob?... BOBBY!" Trying to get his attention.
Not only did we have GREAT company over the weekend, we also had beautiful, warm, SUNSHINE! Weston walked out on the back porch naked in the morning and said "Ah, beautiful day mommy!" This is a close up of his crash and burn down the front lawn onto the sidewalk. He didn't even shed a tear...
Weston's "motorbike" as he calls it :) My big boy!

Elephants!

We just had a glimpse of the huge elephants! We had a wonderful morning at the Portland Zoo with our friends Liam and Noah. They're experts, so they showed Weston all the great animals. Weston said his favorites are the zebra, elephant and fish. Although he was VERY disappointed there weren't any horses...

What a weekend!

After a very active day with Grandma Joyce and Grandpa, Weston was so ready for bed!
He did wheelies...
AND... rode a "cow o socky" in Weston's words. He's still talking about it, and his friend Reed. Thanks for showing him a great time!

Lang's Pony Farm

Weston is still very much into horses... My cowboy and I, along with Chi Chi, Spencer, Grandpa and Grandma Joyce visited Lang's Pony Farm last weekend. What made it even more special for us, is about 20 years ago my sisters and I loved coming here to ride the pony's.
This is their only draft horse, Victoria, who is so big! Weston was not the least bit intimidated; he walked right up to them, talking in a gentle voice and gave them hay or rubbed their cheek.
A "healthy" snack before we saddle up!
And of course his second love, kitties...

I'm working Mom...

We've been doing some "home projects" over the last few weeks, well, actually since we moved in a year and a half ago. But with baby Merrick due to arrive in less than two months it's crunch time! Weston continuously puts on his safety goggles, helmet, or some sort of tool and says very seriously "I'm still working Mom."
Of course he always has enough energy to play with cousin Spencer. They are little dare devils at Grammy's house.

Has it really been this long?...

I cannot believe it's taken me this long to share what we've been up to! Weston came with me on my last work trip, it was wonderful to have him there. Although we started off our trip with an extra long morning at PDX, (our flight was delayed a couple of hours), we made the most of it. Surprise, Weston found some cowboy hats and horse goodies!
Once we touched down in LA it was straight to the beach to feel the sand between our toes and the sun on our faces. Oh, how we love it!
For some reason Weston had it in his mind we were actually going to California to see horses. He was telling everyone and I couldn't let our visit be a disappointment, so we made a couple stops at the PV horse stables.
There was even a big tractor!
We were able to spend the end of our visit with our special friends John and Leah. Weston still pretends to talk on the phone to Leah daily... They have the magic "Grandma and Grandpa" touch. Wish we had some more photos to show you all our fun day ventures and friends... We had such a great time and feel so blessed to have all our wonderful friends to spend time with. You can see more pictures of Weston with his friend Jared if you click on the Buetzow family link to the left. Weston spend four full days at four different friend's houses while I worked. He did such a great job and we are very proud of him!
